Welcome!

We can all remember how excited we got as children when technology was introduced into a classroom lesson. A television and VCR, for example, would cause us to think, “Yes, no lesson!” We thought of it as entertainment and fun, a break from the usual classroom stuff. The potential for motivation was obvious to the teacher and the trick was to choose technological resources that had pedagogical value and motivational merit. That is still the case today as learning websites are being used in much the same way.

This website seeks to engage teachers in actively thinking about the websites they choose for their students. The links above present a tool to help educators choose valuable learning websites, a framework describing the relationship between motivation and learning websites, and links of interests, all chosen or developed to help educators make an informed choice in learning websites.
